Bob Brensel

Bob Brensel, RPh, earned his Pharmacy Degree at University of the Pacific in Stockton, California in 1980.He was honored as a student with the Longs Drugs Stores, “Outstanding Intern Scholarship” in 1977. Bob has been a member of the California Pharmacists Association since 1980 and was recently presented with the 2015 Stephen Feldman Award in recognition of outstanding achievement in Compounding Pharmacy at Disneyland Convention Center.

Bob began his career working for his father Ernie at Fairmount and Plaza Pharmacy in El Cerrito, California, eventually serving as the General Manager from 1980 thru 1986. Bob had worked in his Dad’s pharmacy from age 9 and is very proud to have started his pharmacy career as a “soda jerk.” In May 1986 Bob became Owner and Pharmacist-in-Charge of these two family businesses. It was during this time that Bob fell in love with Compounding Pharmacy, learning the tools of the trade working side by side with his father.

Bob opened Solano Avenue Pharmacy in 1997 and grew that pharmacy from the ground up into a very busy and revered neighborhood drug store. In 2003, Bob was given the chance to open his dream pharmacy, ScriptWorks, in which he was able to meet unique patient needs by providing assistance to his patients through compounding. Areas of specialty at ScriptWorks include Hormone Replacement Therapy, Pain Management, Autism Disorders, Thyroid Imbalances, and Veterinary Compounding.

ScriptWorks PCAB and ACHC accredited pharmacy continues to grow in Bob’s home town of Walnut Creek, CA having expanded in 2015 provides quality, evidence-based pharmacy compounding services to his community and to patients all over the state of California. ScriptWorks has been visited by compounding pharmacists from all over the world, including China, Australia and New Zealand as well as many pharmacists from across the U.S.

Throughout Bob’s career, he has demonstrated his commitment and passion to pharmacy compounding and the patients he treats. Bob has been featured in several pharmacy peer-reviewed journals and has lectured at several Pharmacy Schools around the San Francisco Bay Area, including Touro University College of Pharmacy and UCSF School of Pharmacy. Bob wrote an article along with his son and one of his intern pharmacists on Quality Assurance ongoing training in the Compounded Pharmacy.

Bob has made 13 consecutive annual trips to Washington DC by making personal visits to US Senators and Congressman to make sure that patients continue to have access to compounded medications. Meanwhile serving on two different Boards for the International Academy of Compounding Pharmacists as well as being selected as an Advisory Council member for PCCA (Professional Compounding Centers of America). He is an Adjunct Clinical Professor at Touro University in Vallejo, California and is currently working at the request of a Pharmaceutical Company to help bridge the gap between compounding pharmacy and conventional drug therapy. Bob is very proud and thankful to the ScriptWorks’ team who make coming to work every day a pleasure and always inspire him to do more.

Bob’s real passion is showing doctors and veterinarians how compounding pharmacy can help improve their patient’s lives. Bob works and lives with his devoted wife, is the father of two boys and enjoys travelling, spending quality family time and playing golf.



Kimberly Banaga, PharmD

Kimberly Banaga

Kimberly Banaga, PharmD, grew up in Wahiawa, Hawaii and received a BS in Chemistry from Willamette University, Salem, Oregon and a Doctorate degree in Pharmacy from the University of California, San Francisco.

Upon graduation, Kimberly worked for Safeway and CVS Pharmacy. Kimberly joined Scriptworks Pharmacy in 2008 and enjoys the challenges of formulating compounds for humans and pets. She manages the compounding lab as well as monitors the daily compliance and workflow.

Kimberly enjoys spending time with family and friends. She loves all things about soccer, scrapbooking and traveling.



Ann Boutros, PharmD

Ann Boutros

Ann Boutros, PharmD, grew up in Orange County, California. She received a professional doctorate degree in pharmacy from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California.

Upon graduation, Ann worked at a compounding pharmacy in Newport Beach, California where she was trained in compounding and hormone replacement therapy. Ann joined Scriptworks pharmacy in 2014. She loves to consult patients about balancing their hormones and reaching their optimal health. She also enjoys managing the quality assurance department; identifying and resolving problems; completing audits; and determining system improvements. Ann has fun taking her toddler to swimming lessons. She also loves to travel and experience new food and cultures.



Nahla Alabbas, PharmD

Nahla Alabbas

Nahla S. Alabbas, PharmD, is a graduate of the University of Damascus, Syria (BS Pharmacy, 1994). Upon graduation, she practiced as a community pharmacist for two years then opened her own pharmacy. From the beginning of her career, Nahla was focused on improving patient care and understood how interpersonal relationships help patients become more involved with their treatments.

In the year 2000, Nahla moved to California and became a licensed pharmacist. After eight years of practicing at a retail setting both as a staff pharmacist and a pharmacy manager, her love of learning lead her to enroll in the Working Professional PharmD Program at the University of Florida, and she graduated cum laude in 2015.

Nahla was thrilled to join the pharmacy team at ScriptWorks in December 2014. She appreciates that compounding medicines allows her to practice customized patient care, where medicine is tailored to meet each individual’s unique needs through out-of-the-box thinking.

When not at work, Nahla enjoys spending time with her husband and three kids, working out, and going on occasional girls’ night outs.
